Gimpo Airport publishes a free public-area shuttle between its domestic and international passenger terminals. The domestic pickup is Stop 8 and the international pickup is Stop 5; the cargo-area loop is a different pattern.
Where to start
Check whether the onward flight is at GMP or at Incheon Airport (ICN). GMP domestic-to-international movement stays within Gimpo, but GMP-to-ICN is a journey between two separate airports. At Gimpo, the airport’s English transport page lists Stop 8 outside the domestic terminal and Stop 5 outside the international terminal for its airport shuttle. Follow the current stop signs on arrival.
How the movement works
The airport describes the passenger-terminal shuttle as free and separately shows a longer loop via cargo facilities. Its English and Korean pages differ in one segment of their interval tables, so this guide doesn't use either table to promise a specific wait. The Korean page gives more precise orientation: domestic Stop 8 is near first-floor Gate 4 and international Stop 5 near first-floor Gate 1. Treat those as public-area bus stops, not an airside transfer.
| Decision | What the source describes |
|---|---|
| Domestic terminal | Free shuttle Stop 8, first-floor Gate 4 area |
| International terminal | Free shuttle Stop 5, first-floor Gate 1 area |
| Cargo loop | Restricted turnback; don't remain aboard past the public stop |
Before you rely on this route
The cargo-route turnback is in a restricted bonded area, according to the airport. The airport instructs passengers to get off at the last public stop and use the opposite-side stop rather than remaining on the bus. For a flight connection, confirm if you need to enter Korea, collect a bag, change check-in counters or clear security again. Don't substitute the shuttle timetable for an airline minimum connection rule.
Check your operating flight and the airport’s current notice before you go. A short ride or a frequent bus won’t tell you whether you have enough time for the whole connection.
Common questions
Is Gimpo the same airport as Incheon?
No. GMP and ICN are separate airports. Verify both flight codes before choosing transport.
Can I use the published interval as a guaranteed wait?
No. The official language versions differ in part of the schedule; check the current airport display.
