You can walk across Melbourne’s T1–T4 precinct. An international arrival may still mean customs and baggage reclaim, though, and a new pickup hub hasn’t moved every bus stop.
Where to start
Check the assigned terminal and the current pedestrian signs. Ask the airline about mobility assistance if the walk or luggage is difficult.
What this guide covers
This guide focuses on the routes below, using research dated 2026-10-31. It can’t confirm every airline, gate, entry rule, accessible path or service change at Melbourne Airport on your travel day.
Routes and pickup points
Start with the direction and access area that match your trip. A public shuttle, a secure-side bus and a city coach may all appear on one airport map, but they take you to different places.

Eligibility and checks
- After an international arrival, complete baggage claim and customs before a domestic connection if required.
Source cautions
- T4 is about 100 m south of T3 in the source; that doesn't mean security is bypassed.
- Ask the airline for movement assistance if needed.

Changes and service warnings
Check the effective date and the current operator notice before following a saved route.
T123 pickup hub change
A new T123 pickup/drop-off hub was announced from 05 October 2026 at 04:00. The same notice says bus, shuttle and coach locations did not all move to the new hub.
What remains to confirm
Before you use one of these routes, check the operating carrier, flight date and current stop with the airport or transport provider. These records can’t tell you whether your bag is checked through, whether you may enter the country, how long the queues are or whether you have enough time to connect.
