Munich has two different movements that are easy to confuse: the T1–T2 connecting shuttle bus and the underground train between T2 and its Satellite building.
Where to start
Identify the building on your onward gate information. For a T2 Satellite gate, follow the underground shuttle train signs within the T2 complex. Use the T1–T2 bus only when the connection actually changes those terminals.
Check the flight you actually have
Start with the operating carrier, flight number and travel date. A codeshare name by itself can’t tell you the terminal or whether your bag is checked through.
Terminal and transfer movement
Munich Airport lists T2 Gates G and H in the main building and Gates J, K and L in the Satellite. Its published train segment is about one minute, with frequency and hours on the official connecting-flights page. The T1–T2 bus is a separate service with a five-to-seven-minute vehicle ride.
| Detail | Source description |
|---|---|
| T1 T2 versus T2 Satellite | |
| T1 t2 | free airside shuttle bus for connecting passengers |
| T2 satellite | underground shuttle train |
Times describe a vehicle segment or published frequency, not a full flight connection. Check current official information before following a stop or timetable.
Before you rely on this route
These vehicle times don't include walking to a stop or gate, a wait, or border and security formalities. Follow live gate signs because an assigned gate can change.
- Passenger-specific border/security controls may apply.
This guide can’t decide your entry eligibility, bag handling, gate assignment or a safe connection time. Check those details for your own flight.
